Orsières - 1 October 2021, from 6.30 pm - Salle paroissiale

In 2021, CREPA (Regional Centre for Alpine Population Studies) celebrates its 30th anniversary! Three decades of storing and promoting archives, research and scientific collaboration, events and meetings about heritage.

In order to celebrate this jubilee, CREPA presents VILLÂGES, an exhibition project which aims to showcase not only the work carried out by the Centre, but also the creativity and commitment of young photographers, partners in this project.

Six amateur photographers, aged between 15 and 25 and living in the CREPA region, took pictures of places, landscapes, localities and buildings in the valleys of Bagnes, Entremont and Trient, as well as in Fully.

Throughout the process, they were coached by the photographer Gianluca Colla, who gave them a little technical training and then accompanied them on the field, in order to guide them in taking their first photo; the principle being to reproduce, with a few details, the same shot as the original, that is to say the same point of view, at the same time of day and at the same season.

Also to be discovered are events, more or less serious, international or more local, which took place the year the original photos were taken.

VILLÂGES, an original large-scale travelling exhibition, which will showcase the natural and architectural heritage of our Alpine valleys and will take place in the 10 CREPA member communes.
