International Women's Club of Lugano

The International Womens Club of Lugano (IWCL) has over 250 members from 40 countries and counting. The intent is to bring women together for the purpose of sharing resources, hobbies, interests, skills and contacts via a wide variety of events and activities. Each month members are informed through the Newsletter of the activities proposed/offered by the club.

Special events are planned periodically, such as cultural tours and lectures, lunches, dinners and dances. In addition, small groups meet frequently to share particular interests such as knitting, walking, sewing, line dancing, burraco, reading, gardening, language study and cooking among other things.

In January every second year, the club undertakes supporting a benevolent charity which has been proposed, presented and confirmed by vote by the membership. A variety of fundraising events & activities are organized for this purpose throughout the year.
