For beginners and slightly advanced

A handpan looks like a UFO and sounds a bit like Caribbean steel drums. It can be played with the fingers and offers a huge sound spectrum rich in overtones. With a few tips and tricks, the handpan sounds almost right from the first stroke and is guaranteed to give beginners a sense of sonic achievement. In this course, you can take your first steps into the world of the handpan in a relaxed atmosphere. You don't have to be able to read music and you don't need any previous musical knowledge for this course.

We play handpans in the tuning "D Celtic minor" during the course. If you don't have a handpan in this tuning, you can hire one for the duration of the course (Fr. 50.00).
