Pianissimo Evening in St. Moritz

Kulm Hotel, Via Veglia 18, 7500 St. Moritz
Kategorie 1: CHF 150.00
Solo concert by Konstantin Emelyanov
St. Moritz is thoroughly cosmopolitan. The Alpine resort’s blend of glamour, lifestyle, sport and pristine nature outshines even the world’s greatest cities. Breath-taking landscapes meet culinary extravagance, high-class events, luxury and design to create a uniquely exclusive lifestyle that can only be found in St. Moritz.

For the second time, “Pianissimo” will present its unique concept and will bring the best of piano music to the Swiss Alps on March 6, 2021 at Kulm Hotel St. Moritz. Thanks to the support of St. Moritz, Kulm Hotel and Yamaha, the event will feature a musical performance by the world-famous pianist Konstantin Emelyanov.

“Pianissimo“ began three years ago with a concert in the St. Petersburg Manege, which has just opened after reconstruction - then Dmitry Masleev and Andrey Gugnin played. Masleev won the 1st prize at the last Tchaikovsky competition at that time; Gugnin had just won the competition in Sydney; both had already played a gig at Carnegie Hall, both were under thirty.

In the future, the performers became younger and younger - and the youngest, Alexander Malofeev, was barely 17 years old when he played a concert at the Hermitage, but he had already won the Tchaikovsky Youth Competition, played with the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra and Valery Gergiev and performed at several European festivals.

“Pianissimo” was born as a festival that combines two intents. On the one hand, to present the public with young performers whose career is just beginning, but obviously already promises to be extraordinary, and on the other hand, to do it in historical places that are usually disconnected from typical concerts. The Manege, the Great Italian Skylight of the New Hermitage, the Medici Hall of the Kulm Hotel, the oldest hotel in St. Moritz - all these are historical spaces. Altogether, it developed into a completely noble and historical genre of salon music making.

In association with St. Moritz, Kulm Hotel St. Moritz and Yamaha.

Mitwirkende Künster: “Konstantin Emelyanov is such a quiet superstar: there is no fashionable aggressiveness about him, yet it is impossible to tear oneself away from his playing. A bright head, a radiant soul and an unusual sound that caresses the ears.” Rossiyskaya Gazeta
