The exhibition “Dive in!” provides a platform for artists from Zug and Central Switzerland. It showcases artworks in a variety of media, including painting, photography, video, and installation.
The exhibition “Dive In!” offers a platform for artists from the Canton of Zug and Central Switzerland. It opens up a space for reflection, interaction and discussion about contemporary art, thereby helping to strengthen the regional art scene. This exhibition brings together works that span a wide range of media including painting, photography, videos and installations. It does not adhere to any fixed theme, but its works are nevertheless linked by a common
motif: an invitation to “dive in”.
The works exhibited are characterised by a sensual, immersive quality that manifests itself in different facets. We encounter it in the calm, enigmatically poetic video works of Judith Albert and Denis Twerenbold. By contrast, it is almost uncanny how the works of Nathalie Bissig and Christian Kathriner draw us in. The works of Pascal Birchler and Nils Nova oscillate between the real and the imaginary.
The principle of immersion anyway involves blurring boundaries, as is the case in the works of Moritz Hossli, Johanna Gschwend and Yvonne Christen Vagner. Viewers are left to their own sense of perception, confronted with the intangible and the dreamlike, and invited to engage with visual worlds both familiar and unfamiliar.
Featuring works by Judith Albert, Nathalie Bissig, Pascale Birchler, Yvonne Christen Vagner, Moritz Hossli and Johanna Gschwend, Christian Kathriner, Nils Nova and Denis Twerenbold.
