Avenches Carnival is shaking the city up from the winter season to the sound of Guggenmusiks and to the rythme of the colourful processions.
On the programme, the much awaited processions will be offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoon as well as two crazy evenings with fondue, guggenmusik and confetti as usual!
Saturday afternoon is traditionally reserved for the children during the Cortège des Enfants (Children's Procession) in which all the schoolchildren of the region participate, followed by the much awaited confetti battle!
On Sunday morning, all the guggen meet at the Roman Arena for an aperitif concert before accompanying the unmissable Grand Cortège Humoristique which crosses the town.
Carnival pins are available from the Tourist Office for CHF 15 from mid-February.
