Institut Montana End of Year Student Art Show

Z-Galerie, Dorfstrasse 6a, 6340 Baar
Free
Don't miss our Art Show at Z-Galerie, Baar. A fantastic opportunity to see artwork from students in our International School, including art masks, comic figures, linocut prints and gouache landscapes.
View 39 individually designed art masks. Students explored the many possible functions of masks - from protection to entertainment to rituals and customs. They found inspiration for their masks in the mask collection at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich, in favourite films and series or personal cultural traditions.

Students also experimented with the graphic technique of linocut, creating monochrome linocut prints on the themes of "Animals", "Sea Creatures" and "Optical Art". These will be on display along with drawings of their own comic figures and landscape paintings.

The work was done under the supervision of Art Teacher and Artist, Ms Azpeitia. She says: "In art classes, students learn many important skills: Finding inspiration, questioning ideas and intentions, planning a project and realising it with certain techniques and then presenting the finished project to the public. Even if a student doesn't pursue a career in the arts, all of these skills are enormously valuable because they can be applied to various professional and personal areas of life."

Join us for a small Apero on Sunday 26th June 12-2pm
