Trekkmines adventure at the Bex Salt Mines

This tour begins with a short walk through the Forêt du Fondement to the entrance to the Galerie du Coulat.

After wandering through the 18th-century mining galleries, you will descend the Grand Escalier and its 734 steps to return to the traditional tour route.

* Difference in altitude: 180 m in the galleries
* Level of difficulty: trekking for all, from 8 years upwards

### Tour duration

* 3h30 over a distance of around 3 km and a 180 m drop in the tunnels

### Meeting point

* 10:15 am at the Mines reception building, departure at 10:30 am

### Temperature

* 18°C all year round; warm clothing recommended

### Conditions / Supplements

* Headlamp required
* Suitable for anyone aged 8 and over, in good physical condition and able to walk for 3 hours without difficulty; not suitable for claustrophobics.
* Warm, comfortable clothing (18°C in the mine), hiking boots with profile and waterproof. A headlamp is compulsory for this hike. Mobile phone light is not sufficient for safe travel.
* The tour is only available in French.
* It is possible to bring a small picnic and drinks in a small rucksack.
* Animals are not allowed in the mine.
