Temporary exhibition | « GRÂCE À NOS AMIS | 50 ans d’acquisitions »

Over the past 50 years, the Société des Amis du Musée gruérien has financed the acquisition of some eighty art objects and major photographic collections (Morel, Glasson and Gapany). The exhibition in the Treasures of the Collections area and in the permanent exhibition - particularly in the Echo of Images section - presents a wide selection of these acquisitions. Paintings by artists from Fribourg or who have exhibited at the museum are largely represented. Others show picturesque views of the region, and resonate with the themes underlying the museum's collections, from the 18th to the 21st century.
The Société des Amis du Musée gruérien, founded in 1973, brought together a host of volunteers who supported the construction of the current building in 1978 and, in a way, confirmed the regional stature of the only museum in the town of Bulle.
Each work acquired by La Société des Amis du Musée gruérien is identified in the exhibition by their logo and the date on which it was donated to the museum.
