GrafenArt Vernissage

6388 Grafenort
In May 2022, a sculpture exhibition was created in Grafenort, in the surroundings of the nationally protected buildings Holy Cross Chapel, Manor House and Grafenort Inn. Against the backdrop of these historic buildings and nature, art can be experienced in different forms, colours and dimensions.

As the gateway to Engelberg, the Grafenort district is owned by the Benedictine monastery of Engelberg. Together with the monastery as a partner, a board of trustees invited ten artists from Switzerland to present existing contemporary works along a tour. The artists include renowned greats as well as talented young artists who are attracting a lot of attention in their scene. When placing the works, emphasis was placed on harmony with the chosen location. Diversity was created through expressive works and different processing techniques and materials. These range from sawn wood to tarnished stone and aerosol-treated canvas to bronze casting.
