The first episode of Livrées, a travelling literature series, begins in Lancy with a series of events which invite people to discover or rediscover poetry in different forms.
The exhibition More poetry is needed brings together four artists who make text a poetic as well as an artistic resource. In many colours, Feux follets by Maure Marville, raises flags to the voices of Corinna Bille and Alice Rivaz while Hadrien Dussoix’ installation takes on the role of spokesperson for rock fanatics. Robert Montgomery’s poetry reflects something of post-modern anxiety and Peter Wütrich convinces us that literature can provide solace. It is he who you may meet on the street: would you be an angel, just a minute for a photograph? Then an open book would be carefully placed on your back, like wings, to add to his photographic series begun in Los Angeles in 2001, Angels of the World.
