The world's largest open-air curling tournament attracts curlers from all over Switzerland to Silvaplana.
It all began in 1969 with the idea of livening up the quiet January season. After just five years, the tournament grew from 16 to 32 teams. By the 15th edition, there were 60 teams, which necessitated adapting the ice rink. Since 1986, the tournament has been held at the Mulets Sports Center. Since 2004, the Coppa Romana has always been fully booked with 76 teams, and the waiting list continues to grow!
In addition to exciting curling matches, participants enjoy a varied supporting program over the four days.
