Hotel Fletschhorn, 3907 Simplon Dorf

Far away from the hustle and bustle, discover the varied and high alpine touring area in Valais over the Easter holidays and experience cozy evenings in the family-run Hotel Fletschhorn.
Day 1
Today we have enough time to travel to Simplon Dorf in the remote southern Valais valley. The historic Hotel Fletschhorn is quietly situated at the end of the village. In the evening we meet for a fine dinner in the old restaurant and receive the first information about the coming days.
Day 2
Freshly fortified from a delicious breakfast, we start at Niederalp (1859m). We reach Alp Bistinen via the increasingly steep slopes. From the Magenlücke we climb up to the Magenhorn (2622m). We are impressed by the far-reaching views of the great Valais mountains and enjoy this fantastic Alpine panorama. On the descent, we follow our trail via Hotossu back to the pass road. From here we drive to the hotel, where we enjoy a cozy evening.
Day 3
Well rested, we start today from Gabi (1229m). Our trail soon becomes steeper and more panoramic as we head towards the Feerberg. Through the sparse larch forests we reach the Seetole (2029m). From here, a steep slope leads to the Seehorn (2437m). The imposing view down to the Gondo Gorge and into the Zwischenbergental is impressive. Finally, we tackle the descent back to Gabi. Once in the valley, we take time to visit the nearby village of Gondo.
Day 4
Another alpine highlight awaits us today. We start our tour from the Simplon Pass (1991m) and reach the Straffelgrat (2634m) via sun-drenched slopes. From here it is not far to Spitzhorli (2736m). It's hard to get enough of the far-reaching views of Monte Leone, the 4000m peaks and the Rhone valley. We take our time to enjoy this moment. Finally, we descend via the small Rossu lakes. Back at the Hotel Fletschhorn, we enjoy another well-deserved merry evening.
REQUIREMENTS: A sufficiently good level of fitness, enjoyment of nature and socializing. Experience with snowshoe tours is an advantage.
MEETING POINT: Thursday, 02.04.2026 at 18:30 for dinner at the Hotel Fletschhorn (bus stop Simplon Dorf, Post)
ARRIVAL: Individual / Carpooling can be offered if required.
ARRIVING BY CAR: Parking spaces are available at the hotel. Volunteer drivers are needed to make it easier to get to the various places on the tours.
RETURNS: Monday, 06.04.2026 at 15:30, Simplon area
FOOD / DRINK: During the day we eat out of our rucksacks, there is the possibility to buy a packed lunch at the accommodation. Tea is available from the hotel.
ACCOMMODATION: We spend the night in double or single rooms at the Hotel Fletschhorn in Simplon Dorf. The rooms are equipped with WC / showers.
COSTS: Double room CHF 860.- / single room CHF 920.-
INCLUSIVE: Four overnight stays with half board and four professionally guided snowshoe tours by hiking guide FA.
EXCLUSIVE: drinks, lunch, equipment, Alpine cab and public transport
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 6 - 8 people
REGISTRATION / PAYMENT: Registration until 26.02.2026 / After payment of the costs via IBAN or Twint your registration is final.
EXECUTION: The program will be adapted to the conditions. The tour can only be canceled by the organization. In this case you will receive a message by SMS two days before the tour.
FAILURE ON YOUR PART: No refunds can be made, find a suitable person to replace you and take out cancellation insurance for illness and accident.
