Kultur- und Förderverein Altes Albinen AA+

About us

The Old Albinen Cultural and Support Association (AA+) was founded in 2010. Its goal is to carefully preserve Albinen's time-honored cultural heritage and traditions for the future, while simultaneously creating added value in culture, commerce, agriculture, and tourism. The association aims to ensure the preservation of this unique mountain village and its magnificent natural surroundings. The association offers its members a variety of activities, including the preservation of traditional techniques and recipes during the Crafts Day. It organizes art exhibitions and literary evenings. The association is dedicated to preserving local history, collecting historical records, and supporting archaeological investigations. Furthermore, historical sites are visited during the Nomad Trail hike, and oral traditions are cultivated during the Aabusitz gathering. A highlight is the annual summer night festival in the village square, featuring music and culinary delights. Members also benefit from an annual publication called "DIZ+DAS," which showcases the association's activities. The association has also successfully completed its largest project to date: the renovated and expanded "Pfäristadel" (parish house), which is now available for various activities. The target group of the association consists of locals, second-home owners, and many former residents of Albinen who would like to get involved in the village.
