Theaterverein Andermatt

The Andermatt Theatre Association is dedicated to the preservation of amateur theatre in Andermatt. Founded over 25 years ago, its aim is to bring joy to people through theatre and create unforgettable moments away from the stresses of everyday life. The association consists of active members who perform on stage, as well as passive members and numerous volunteers behind the scenes. These volunteers assist with directing, set construction, and refreshments, among other tasks. The association typically selects a new play in the spring and begins intensive rehearsals in August. Performances traditionally take place towards the end of November and during the week between Christmas and New Year's. The current production for 2024 is the boulevard comedy "Dr. Otto Wins the Lottery." The association offers its members the opportunity to actively participate in theatre and enrich the local cultural scene. For the audience, the association provides entertaining theatre experiences. The target audience includes everyone who enjoys dialect theatre and cultural events in Andermatt.
