Musikgesellschaft Arth

The Arth Music Society, or MGA for short, is a brass band founded in 1872 by fifteen music enthusiasts. Currently, the society has 43 members who share a common passion for music. The MGA places great emphasis on camaraderie and fellowship. Its musical repertoire includes concert and symphonic works as well as modern and popular music. Performing traditional pieces is also part of the society's mission. The MGA is committed to sustainable development and fostering young musical talent. Members meet weekly for full rehearsals, with additional sectional rehearsals also taking place. The public is warmly invited to attend rehearsals. The society organizes important events such as the spring concert and the church concert. In addition, the music society provides musical accompaniment for official and church events in the municipality of Arth. Other performances include the zoo concert and open-air concerts. Outside of music, MGA members are also involved in running a secondhand shop. The society also offers the option of renting dishes and cutlery. The target group of the association consists of people of all ages who are interested in music and enjoy making music together and participating in club life.
