Abbaye suisse Indépendante de Ballens

The Independent Swiss Abbey of Ballens is an association founded in 1843. It is governed by a council composed of an Abbot-President, a Registrar, a Lieutenant Abbot, a Treasurer, and a Banneret. The association organizes traditional events, notably the Abbey Festival, which takes place every few years, as will be the case in 2028. It also participates in collective events such as inter-abbey shooting competitions and the Grand Shooting Competition of the Vaud Abbeys. Members are invited to get involved in the preparations for these festivals. The association welcomes those interested in perpetuating this tradition.
