About us
The Rhone Section of the Drum and Fife Association is a dedicated ancestral music society, founded in 1930. The section represents the villages of Baltschieder, Eyholz, and Lalden. It cherishes the folk culture and traditions of its ancestors, giving them a contemporary twist. The active membership, including drummers, fifers, flag bearers, and honorary attendants, numbers 71. There are also 25 young musicians currently training to become drummers and fifers. The association offers its members the opportunity to cultivate and pass on traditional music. Great emphasis is placed on community, which is reflected in family celebrations and the commemoration of association events. The Rhone Section welcomes motivated individuals who would like to become part of the Rhone family.
