The Maritz Battery represents the Bernese cantonal artillery from the historical period of the 18th and 19th centuries. The gunners maintain and revive the cultural heritage of the militia army by handling muzzle-loading cannons according to the regulations of the time. The association offers performances at historical markets, military events, St. Barbara's Day celebrations, and target shooting events. Furthermore, interested parties can book the battery for events such as birthdays or grand openings.
