Vereinigung zur Betreuung Schwerkranker Zürcher Oberland

The Association for the Care of the Seriously Ill in the Zurich Oberland is a non-profit, politically and religiously neutral organization that has been in existence since 1991. We provide free support to the seriously ill and dying. Our volunteer members offer patients compassionate support, conversation, and time. We provide this support both during the day and through night shifts. With our services, we support the wish of many affected individuals to be cared for at home in familiar surroundings and to be able to die there as well. Another important aspect of our work is relieving the burden on family caregivers. We work closely with palliative care institutions. We do not offer active euthanasia. Anyone interested in supporting people at the end of their lives is warmly welcome to join us. Passive members support us with their contributions.
