L’Étape Switzerland 2023 Berne – 21 May 2023

Choose out of two distances of 139km or 63km, both starting and finishing in Berne. The map of both races, the route profiles, and the KOMs are found on our Homepage; pick the road which fits you most and begin with the training. At the finishing line, everyone then receives, in any case, an earned finisher medal and has the opportunity to enjoy the finisher meal on the Bundesplatz together with friends during the festive and atmospheric award ceremony.

L’Étape Switzerland 2023 – the cycling event for all women

It cannot be ignored: more and more women are riding their bikes regularly. Although the number of World Tour races for women and their media coverage increased over the last year to show off an impressive level of athleticism, at public races, women are sadly still significantly under-represented.

For L’Étape Switzerland 2023, we came up with a new way to make competing more enjoyable for everyone. The women will start together with the U19 juniors 15 minutes earlier than the men to offer a less chaotic starting environment and enable them to use the escort of the lead cars. That way, the separate groups will only start mixing later on when the racers have spread over a larger portion of the course.

Naturally, each category is separated into an OPEN and a WOMEN ranking. The famous Tour de France jerseys can be earned by the most enduring, the fastest, and the best climbing women and juniors. The most legendary public cycling race in Switzerland, now with incomparable Tour de France Femmes Feeling.

L’Étape Switzerland 2023 – the cycling event for teams!

L’Étape Switzerland has created a new format of team ranking for 2023. Put together your own team and start in one of the three categories OPEN, WOMEN or JUNIORS on the long distance of The RACE. You’ll attend in your uniform club or team jerseys and thereby contribute to a once-in-a-lifetime race atmosphere, just like at world tour races. At the same, time you’ll profit from a significantly more favourable starting fee without event jerseys while attractive awards await you.

This is also a unique opportunity to expand the club live in your cycling club with an unforgettable experience as a team. No matter whether you’ll attend the race with ambitious goals or just want to have fun, sweat and do sport, it is a race for everyone. For your juniors till U23, we have even set up a new category.
