Filarmonica Brissago

About us

The Filarmonica Brissaghese is a music society officially founded in 1932, but it looks back on an even longer tradition of brass bands in Brissago. The society offers musical training through its music school, which allows interested individuals to learn various instruments such as woodwinds, brass, percussion, and keyboards. The four-year program includes theory lessons, solfège, ear training, individual instrumental lessons, and ensemble playing. In addition to training for children from the third grade of primary school onward, the school is also open to adults, for whom personalized study plans are available. The Filarmonica also maintains a mini-band, giving young musicians the opportunity to play together and prepare for playing in the main ensemble. The Filarmonica Brissaghese's main ensemble consists of active musicians and performs regularly at various events. The society's goal is to promote musical activity in the region and to train new musicians. The target group includes children and young people who want to learn to play music, as well as adult beginners and musicians who want to actively participate in a brass band.
