Yacht Club Brissago

The Yacht Club Brissago is an association with over forty years of history dedicated to the enjoyment of sailing and motorboating on Lake Maggiore. The club emphasizes responsible and respectful cruising on the lake. The YCB is a cruising club that promotes yachting, deepens members' knowledge of the sport, and fosters camaraderie. It is committed to practicing yachting in a way that is both environmentally friendly and respectful of nature. The club offers its members the opportunity to use a private sailboat, an open keelboat of the Yngling type, for a nominal fee. Another club boat, the cabin cruiser Friendship 21, is still available for members, although no new training courses are offered. The club organizes various events such as moonlight sailing, day trips to Italy, and sailing excursions. Membership is open to all interested parties and is made affordable by unusually low membership fees. The members primarily come from German-speaking Switzerland and spend part of the year on Lake Maggiore. The club does not conduct its own training or regatta activities.
