Vitodurania Winterthur

About us

Vitodurania Winterthur is a secondary school fraternity founded in 1863 at the cantonal schools in Winterthur. The fraternity's activities are centered on the motto "litteris et amicitiae," meaning education and friendship. The fraternity offers regular events that explore fields of knowledge such as sports, economics, politics, technology, and social issues. In addition to education, great importance is placed on camaraderie, fostered by the weekly gathering at the Restaurant zur Sonne and numerous other events. The fraternity is politically and religiously neutral. Vitodurania Winterthur is aimed at all secondary school students at the Winterthur cantonal schools from the second year of upper secondary school onward. The active members are those Vitodurania students still attending secondary school. During this time, they become familiar with fraternity life and eventually assume responsibility in the fraternity's leadership by organizing events and taking on official positions.
