Theaterverein Merzligen

The Merzligen Theatre Association was founded in 1987. The association's main event is the performance of four plays, mostly traditional and humorous folk farces, each year in February or March. The performances also include a festival tent, a raffle, and a bar. The association places great importance on preserving traditional cultural heritage in terms of costumes, sets, and props. In addition to the theatrical performances, an annual barbecue and a trip are organized to foster camaraderie. The association offers active memberships, meaning participation on stage or assistance with festival operations, as well as passive memberships. Passive members are personally informed about the upcoming play in advance.
