Langlaufwandergruppe Schaffhausen

The Schaffhausen Cross-Country Skiing Club (LWS) is a multi-sport endurance club founded in 1969 to promote cross-country skiing in the region. The club boasts over 500 members of all ages. In winter, the LWS maintains an extensive network of cross-country ski trails on the Randen mountain and is responsible for marking and grooming the Randen trail and the circular trails in the Eschheimertal valley. In addition to cross-country skiing, the club offers a variety of multi-sport training opportunities throughout the year. These include running, walking, indoor training, biking, and hiking. A sense of community is fostered through shared weekend trips on foot, skis, or bicycles. The club also organizes special cross-country skiing weeks both in Switzerland and abroad. The club is aimed at sports enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy endurance activities and socializing in nature. Special programs are available for seniors, such as age-appropriate fitness training.
