Natur- und Vogelschutzverein Buus

The Buus Nature and Bird Conservation Association (NVB) is an active organization with nearly 300 members dedicated to preserving and enriching the natural landscape of the municipality of Buus. The association offers its members a platform for active participation in nature conservation. Members can assist with maintenance work in biotopes and contribute to the redesign of habitats for plants and animals. The association organizes excursions on topics such as animals, plants, geology, and ecology. Lectures on various nature-related topics are also held. The NVB monitors and maintains approximately 400 nesting boxes. It works closely with farming families to plan and implement nature conservation projects. A key event is the biennial Buus Fruit Day, which offers a diverse program focused on fruit and agriculture. For children and teenagers, there is the youth group "Wiesel" (Weasels), which offers its own annual program of nature-related activities. The association provides all residents of Buus with the opportunity to connect, discover the natural beauty of the municipality, and take responsibility for nature. The target group is nature-loving residents of Buus who would like to volunteer.
