Associazione Antico Mulino del Precassino

The Antico Mulino del Precassino Association was formed to understand, restore, and bring back to life a unique cultural asset of the area: the ancient Precassino Mill and Pestle. The association is committed to the restoration of this mill, which includes a millstone mill and a double mortar, important testimonies to local history. The mill is now accessible to the general public, tourists, and schools. The association organizes events open to the public, such as Swiss Mill Day, during which visitors can see the mill and pestle in operation and sample products related to their activity, such as barley soup. It also promotes the site's culture by making it a point of interest on the Via del Ceneri historical trail. This program is aimed primarily at those interested in local history, local culture, and ancient milling techniques.
