The Founex Fencing Club is dedicated to the practice of sabre fencing. This fencing discipline is described as the most spectacular, fast, and dynamic. The club emphasizes that sabre fencing develops excellent physical fitness, tactics, self-criticism, emotional control, speed, precision of movement, as well as respect for one's opponent and oneself. It is a true school of life, fostering the complete development of the individual. The club offers weekly classes for different age groups. It provides specific schedules for the youngest members, called "Little Zorros" (ages 6 to 8), as well as for children aged 8 to 11 and teenagers aged 12 to 15. Classes are also available for beginner adults, teenagers, adults, and competitors. The class season runs from September to June. The club provides all the equipment for the "Little Zorros" trial sessions. Instruction is provided by a certified fencing master, George Hadzopoulos, assisted by instructors with Youth+Sport qualifications. The club encourages participation in club life through events such as friendly internal tournaments and official competitions at various levels, including the Swiss National Youth and Senior Circuits. The club welcomes fencers practicing for both leisure and competition.
