About us
The Brass Band Winterthur is an association that originated from the former city trombone choir. It currently boasts around 38 enthusiastic brass players. The band's aim is to play high-quality entertainment music and perform publicly at concerts and special events. The group maintains the tradition of playing from the city tower on August 1st. Musically, the band is inspired by the English brass band movement and emphasizes a distinctive sound. Interested musicians are welcome to join the band. The Brass Band Winterthur also offers the opportunity to book them for celebrations and events with a small to large ensemble. The members rehearse every Thursday evening in Winterthur. The band is actively seeking dedicated amateur musicians and friends of brass band music.
