The Scouts are the largest youth organization in Switzerland, offering children and teenagers friendship, commitment, and adventure. They provide unique group experiences and unforgettable camping days in nature. Activities usually take place on Saturday afternoons and include outdoor games, crafts, scavenger hunts, learning scouting skills, and much more. The Scouts are open to all children and teenagers, regardless of background, culture, or religion. They are divided into age-appropriate groups, starting from age five, with each group offering a tailored program. Older members, from age 13, increasingly take on responsibility and become young leaders themselves. The organization is based on the motto "Young people leading young people" and places great emphasis on the training and support of its volunteer leaders. There are also special programs, such as Scouts Despite Everything, for children and teenagers with disabilities.
