Pilzverein Cham

The Cham Mushroom Society is an association dedicated to the world of fungi since February 25, 1945. We are a group of approximately thirty members, comprised of both young and old. Our activities are aimed at everyone interested in mushrooms, from beginners to experts. During mushroom season, we meet weekly to identify mushrooms in the local area and share our experiences. At these meetings, we learn from each other about edible, rare, and poisonous mushrooms. The social aspect and shared experiences in nature are very important to us. We offer our members the opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge about mushrooms, as we consider courses difficult to teach. Our mushroom experts conduct identifications in small groups and provide insights into the classification of fungi. The association also organizes public mushroom exhibitions to showcase the diversity of fungi. The target group of the association is anyone who is enthusiastic about mycology and seeks to connect with others in the community.
