About us
The Dürrenäsch Nature and Bird Conservation Association is a section of BirdLife Aargau, which has been dedicated to the protection and preservation of nature in the municipality of Dürrenäsch since 1930. The association's primary goals are to provide its members with comprehensive information and to maintain, create, and protect diverse habitats and the creatures that inhabit them. The association offers its members and other interested parties four to six events annually focusing on ecology and nature conservation. Its activities include the maintenance of meadows, hedges, and ponds. A key task is the upkeep of over 300 nest boxes through inspection and cleaning. The association is actively involved in promoting the conservation of various animals, such as the European tree frog, the red-backed shrike, and wild bees. Furthermore, the association conducts maintenance work to preserve valuable biotopes and combats invasive neophytes. For children, the association organizes a youth fun day and "Nature Detectives" events. Lectures and nature excursions are also offered. The association is aimed at all nature-loving people who want to get involved in protecting the local flora and fauna.
