Verein für Dorfgeschichte Eschenz

About us

The Eschenz Local History Society is closely linked to the Eschenz Museum. It is dedicated to the history of the Eschenz region. The landscape around Eschenz, at the point where the Rhine flows out of Lake Constance (Untersee), is historically significant. Archaeological finds attest to a long period of continuous settlement in this area. The society provides information about this rich past. Special exhibitions are offered, such as one on Eschenz's oldest legal system. The museum, which the society supports, is open on the first Sunday of each month from March to October. The society's activities aim to preserve the cultural heritage and make it accessible to the public.
