Feuerwehr Ausseramt, Feuerthalen-Flurlingen

The Ausseramt Fire Department is a joint fire service association responsible for the towns of Feuerthalen, Flurlingen, and Langwiesen since 1994. Its main tasks include firefighting, rescuing people and animals, protecting property, and environmental protection. The organization is entirely volunteer-based, meaning all members serve on a voluntary basis in their free time. Members train regularly on Mondays to be prepared for emergencies. The fire department offers its members the opportunity to take on various roles such as officer, breathing apparatus wearer, pump operator, driver, or firefighter paramedic. Training takes place internally as well as in central courses offered by the Cantonal Fire Service Association (GVZ). Camaraderie is fostered and strengthened through various events. The target group for members are motivated individuals between 18 and 45 years of age who are team players and are looking for an exciting and potentially risky activity.
