Zagge-Zunft Fulenbach

About us

The Zagge Guild of Fulenbach is an association founded in 1978 to revive the carnival tradition in Fulenbach. The guild is responsible for organizing the annual Fulenbach carnival, also known as the Balenfucher Fasnacht. It offers various events surrounding the carnival, including Carnival Friday with Guggenmusik (a type of brass band music), the street carnival, and the grand carnival parade on Sunday. The guild consists of the guild council, which manages the organization. It has active subgroups such as the Zagge-Guggi, which provides musical entertainment, and the Höuzeler, who are responsible for burning the Böög (a straw effigy). Another group is the Altobernarren (Old Fools), who are active at events such as the start of carnival on November 11th and the senior citizens' ball. The Baragguda's are responsible for the maintenance and logistics of the Zagge-Baragge (the guild's headquarters). The target group for the guild's offers are all carnival enthusiasts who want to actively participate or attend the festivities.
