Reitverein Freib. Seebezirk

The Fribourg Lake District Riding Club was founded in 1916. Originally focused on military equestrian events, this changed after the cavalry was disbanded in 1973. Today, the club welcomes riders from all disciplines. The club organizes a popular annual show jumping competition, now called CS Murtensee, which takes place in the spring. Since 2024, this annual event has also included gymkhana competitions on Saturday and show jumping on Sunday. Members have the opportunity to participate in these club events. Furthermore, members have access to a riding arena in Avenches Plage, which is also available for rent to external users. Club members can use this arena for their own training and pay reduced fees. Active members who attend the annual general meeting and complete at least four volunteer shifts per year receive a reduced membership fee. The club thus offers a sporting community for all equestrian enthusiasts in the Lake District region.
