Tambourenverein Murten

The Murten Drum Corps was founded in 1932. The corps maintains a close partnership with the Murten Town Band. Its members participate in competitions and also perform at the Solenität (a local festival) and the Murten Carnival. An important aspect of the corps is its connection to the cadet program in Murten, where young people can learn to play the drums. Former cadet drummers can join the corps after completing their schooling. The corps offers its members regular rehearsals and performances. Several members have successfully passed the examination to become military drummers. The target group is musically interested individuals who enjoy drumming and wish to actively participate in the corps' activities.
