About us

The Interlaken Kennel Club was founded in 1936 as a section of the Swiss Kennel Club. We are a club with approximately 160 members, many of whom actively train their dogs. Our goal is to provide dogs with species-appropriate and meaningful activities and exercise, with a focus on enjoyment and positive reinforcement. We cultivate friendly relationships among our members and aim to contribute to a positive social environment through well-behaved dogs. The club offers a diverse training program for almost all dogs and their owners, from family pets to sporting dogs. Training includes basic obedience, reinforcement training, an ABC group to promote focus and bonding, as well as play, fun, and exercise activities. These courses are available to active members for a nominal fee. The club also rents out its clubhouse for events to members and non-members. The club's target group is dog owners who want their animals to be well-socialized and value training together with their dogs.
