Samariterverein Guttannen

The Guttannen Samaritan Association is part of the Bern Cantonal Samaritan Federation. This federation supports the grassroots work of local Samaritan associations. The Samaritans are dedicated to providing emergency medical services, coordinated first aid, and disaster relief. They are also active in voluntary social services. The association offers its members comprehensive training and continuing education opportunities in first aid. The range of courses is very diverse, extending from standard courses such as basic first aid to specialized training like First Aid Level 3 IVR. Specialized courses for children and young people are also offered. Furthermore, the Samaritans provide first aid services at various events. The associations manage these services and provide initial care in minor or life-threatening emergencies. Members are also involved in youth work and sometimes organize local blood drives. The association's target group is essentially all citizens who want to learn how to act correctly in an emergency. This also includes companies, schools, and individuals who wish to obtain a driver's license. An important part of the target group consists of children and young people who can become active in youth groups. Club board members receive specific training in club organization and management through courses.
