Appenzeller Friedens-Stationen

The Appenzell Peace Stations Association is dedicated to honoring the legacy of humanitarian achievements by individuals who lived and worked in the Appenzell Vorderland region or were closely connected to it. It presents these accomplishments to a broad public in an engaging and accessible way. This is achieved through a hiking trail with various stations, each dedicated to a specific individual. The association conveys historically reliable facts about these people's lives and achievements. At the same time, it aims to encourage reflection on the significance of these deeds for the present and future. The association welcomes all interested groups and also offers guided hikes and educational materials on the topics of humanity, civic courage, and solidarity.
