Fanfare paroissiale La Lyre

The La Lyre de Le Crêt Parish Brass Band is a musical society founded in 1953 that currently performs as a brass band and has thirty-five members. It participates in religious and village festivals in the municipality of La Verrerie, located in the canton of Fribourg, and also performs at various events in Switzerland and abroad. For parades, the band is accompanied by the affiliated drum society, L'Echo des Bois. La Lyre offers musical training to young people through the Jeunesse Edel-Lyre ensemble, a collaborative effort with other brass bands. Youngsters receive individual lessons from qualified teachers before joining the cadet corps. In addition, the association offers musical initiation through group games and singing to children aged four to six via the Éveil Musical en Glâne et environs program. The club organizes events such as its annual concert and community activities like brunches at people's homes. The brass band is aimed at musicians wishing to play in a Brass-Band formation, young people wanting to learn an instrument, and preschool children interested in musical discovery.
