Feuerwehr Lauerz

The Lauerz Fire Department is a public safety and security unit responsible for the safety and protection of the population. It is classified as a Category 1 fire department in the Canton of Schwyz. The organization comprises forty to fifty active members, both men and women. The fire department includes numerous specialized units, such as the breathing apparatus team, drivers and pump operators, boat operators, a traffic control group, electrical specialists, and the first responder medical unit. The first responder medical unit provides initial medical care and supports the fire department during operations. The Lauerz Lake Rescue Service is a division of the Lauerz Fire Department and provides safety services on and around Lake Lauerz. They offer assistance on the lake and support in the event of accidents and other incidents. The fire department offers its members demanding and engaging training, including areas such as breathing apparatus, wildfire fighting, ice rescue, and engineering work. The target group for membership is motivated and dedicated residents of Lauerz. They should be willing to dedicate some of their free time to a meaningful task serving the community. Ideally, they are looking for individuals between 18 and approximately 40 years old. Teamwork and camaraderie are highly valued within the organization.
