Baggerseeverein Marbach

The Marbach Gravel Pit Lake Association is an organization that owns and maintains the beautiful gravel pit lake in Kriessern. This lake is considered one of the most beautiful natural swimming areas in Eastern Switzerland and is situated in a recreational area. The association was founded in 1923 to ensure the lake's preservation. It offers visitors modern facilities including a kiosk, kitchen, restrooms, and changing rooms. Sunbathing areas and parking are available around the lake. A path allows for a walk around the entire lake. A designated area is provided for children and non-swimmers. Accessible guests with disabilities have access via a dedicated ramp. Sports activities such as table football, a water trampoline, and a beach volleyball court are offered. The association also operates a campground. This campground offers both permanent annual pitches and a limited number of short-term pitches for travelers. The association's target audience is swimmers seeking relaxation and nature experiences. Members benefit from free lifetime admission for two people after a one-time membership fee.
