Turnverein TV Merishausen

The Merishausen Gymnastics Club (TV Merishausen) was founded in 1934 and is a member of both the Schaffhausen and Swiss Gymnastics Federations. The club's training focuses primarily on track and field. Recently, apparatus training, mainly on the parallel bars, has also been reintroduced. The extended activity program includes sports such as soccer, basketball, and floorball. The club organizes various events, including the annual "Dance into May" and the "Chränzli" (a social gathering) in November. For athletically inclined young people, there is an additional track and field training session on Wednesday evenings. The youth section, consisting of boys' and girls' sections, specifically promotes movement patterns, coordination skills, and teamwork. Social events such as visits to the local swimming pool are also part of the youth program each year.
