About us
The La Fontanelle Association is an institution serving French-speaking Switzerland, founded in 1987. It is dedicated to supporting at-risk youth aged 14 to 18 in the region. The association offers a temporary respite to help these teenagers regain their footing and negotiate a new direction in life. It offers four main approaches to meet the needs of these young people. These include single-sex residential care, with one home for eight teenage girls in Vérossaz and another for nine teenage boys in Mex. The association also provides outreach support through the Oxygène Program, an outpatient support service. In addition, it organizes respite stays in the form of educational adventures abroad, such as cycling trips or treks. Finally, La Fontanelle provides parenting support, particularly during placement and the transition back home, through its outreach programs in the seven French-speaking cantons. The offer is aimed at French-speaking teenagers residing in French-speaking Switzerland who are experiencing recognized difficulties and are being monitored by social services or authorities.
