Nostalgiefeuerwehr Mirchel

The Mirchel Nostalgia Fire Brigade is an association founded on November 7, 2008. Its primary purpose is to foster camaraderie and promote activities beyond regular fire service duties. Another important focus is the preservation and maintenance of vintage firefighting equipment. The association organizes events related to firefighting as well as social gatherings. Members may also participate in or organize activities that promote culture or sports. Membership is open to everyone; there is no age limit, and active firefighting service is not required. Members commit to paying annual dues and upholding the association's interests. Members are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the vintage firefighting equipment, most of which is privately owned by a member and provided to the association free of charge. Uniforms are also provided free of charge by a member. The association participates in competitions, often involving vintage hand-operated fire pumps.
