Verein historischer Technik Emmental VHTE

The Emmental Historical Technology Association (VHTE) is a group dedicated to the preservation of historical technology. Its members have diverse technical interests. The association's main activity is organizing and running a biennial exhibition in Eggiwil. These exhibitions showcase Switzerland's technological history to the public. On display are tools and vehicles from the fields of agriculture, construction, woodworking, firefighting, as well as tractors, cars, and motorcycles from before 1970. Demonstrations are held at the exhibitions, for example, on road construction, threshing, woodworking, fire engines, wood gas vehicles, and steam power. The target audience is technically minded individuals who wish to support the preservation of historical technology.
