Rigatoni Dance Band

The Rigatoni Dance Band was founded in Novazzano in 1983 with the primary goal of having fun and cheering everyone up by making good music. Members initially came from the local Musica Union, but the association later opened up to residents of the village and surrounding areas. The main offering for those wishing to join is the opportunity to play an instrument or learn how to do so within a musical family where fun and companionship reign supreme. In addition to musicians, the band also welcomes supporting members who wish to be part of the Rigatoni family without playing. The association is not limited to carnival activities; it is active year-round, organizing events such as the San Bernardo festival in the summer, performances at Winterland in Locarno, and participating in other musical events. Additionally, the group organizes the Rigatorneo amateur football tournament and plays annually at Campo Blenio. The Rigatoni Dance Band also offers the opportunity to purchase its historical costumes and publishes a periodical called Rigazzetta, written by its young members. The target audience is made up of people who love music, fun, and company, whether they know how to play an instrument or simply want to support their activities.
