SVP Oberbipp

The Oberbipp branch of the Swiss People's Party (SVP) is an independent political party organized as an association. It is a section of the Swiss People's Party of the Canton of Bern. The party's main objectives are to align politics with the needs of the people and to promote families. Furthermore, it advocates for the protection of the natural environment. The Oberbipp SVP organizes lectures, orientations, and events to inform and educate its members and other interested parties. It also maintains contact among its members and with the media. Membership is open to all women and men who have reached the age of 16 and subscribe to the party's principles. Legal entities can also become members. Every member has equal voting, election, and motion rights and may freely express their opinion within the party. Members are obligated to pay annual dues and to represent the party's interests externally. The SVP Oberbipp offers its members the opportunity to become involved in various party bodies, such as the executive committee or special task force committees. Members can be appointed to municipal commissions to represent the party's concerns. The target group includes all citizens who identify with the aforementioned political principles and wish to participate in local politics.
